Fanfiction Updates
It’s honestly been a while since I’ve done anything fanfiction related. Regardless, there are a few things that need to go down about some of the stories I have going on in my head once in a while.
The Seven Year Miracle
Starting off with the first fanfiction I’ve ever done, I apologise not just to those who’ve seen it on DeviantArt, but those from FanFiction.net and Archive of Our Own. It’s been two years since the last update and I only have myself to blame. Other things have kept me occupied. While it appears that I am not really all that motivated, I really do want to at least try to bring this to fruition. I understand if you’re no longer following this story, and I don’t blame you. It’s just taking too long.
The New Olympians of Canterlot
One of the first things I ever submitted to DeviantArt was a biography for the first character of an Equestria Girls fanfiction: a story how the Gods of Olympus has reincarnated as a group of foster siblings to do battle against a variety of monsters from both Equestria and the world of Ancient Greece. The idea was to make it an episodic story with the plot of each chapter based on Class of the Titans, a cartoon focused on 7 teenagers who were the descendants of Greek heroes who would do battle against a freed Cronus. There were a few problems:
- I started to lose interest in Equestria Girls and MLP in a whole, with my only interactions with the franchise now and then being lurking on FimFiction.net and the idea of a different EQG fanfic focused on the mythical past
- Thought it was a bit too cliché for the main characters to be orphans (even if the protagonists of any other fics in my head are parentless as well)
- Later sources (Fate/Grand Order, Hades, Overly Sarcastic Productions, etc.) showed that Class of the Titans isn’t probably the best source for stories of Greek myths since many myths were adapted in a way that made the protagonists’ ancestors much more heroic (by today’s standards) than their titles were led to believe. E.g. the Medea episode claimed the witch went crazy after Jason rejected her, leaving out the fact that she was bewitched by the Gods to fall for Jason to aid his quest for the Golden Fleece, she and Jason were married both in the eyes of the Gods and the eyes of the law, and Jason committed adultery so he can gain the kingship he believed he deserved. To make this point shorter, as far as I can tell, only Odysseus and Atalanta didn’t do much to make them look like complete douches.
So, unless I find a reason to bring this back, I’m just gonna leave it alone while I focus on other projects. It’s more or less cancelled until I find the motivation, but if anyone is interested, I’m happy to let them use the premise for one of their own stories.
Fable Force
This Ever After High story is something I only recently remembered and one thing I’m gonna is reinvent the whole thing. Originally, in addition to Cador, Jackie and Soren, the main cast of this fic was going to include the son of d’Artagnan from The Three Musketeers and the daughter of Hank Morgan from A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court. In truth, I don’t know that much about the original sources of both these stories. Connecticut Yankee is something I rarely hear about (pretty sure the latest was it mentioned in Season 5(?) of Once Upon a Time) and I just learned that The Three Musketeers has two sequels that make the story all the more tragic. So instead, the two Royal main characters will be the daughters of Puss in Boots & Prince Lindworm. And with Jackie not really bound to a destiny, I’ve decided to add another Rebel to the main roster: the daughter of the Nightingale from The Nightingale and the Rose.
Plus, I’m going to delete the character bios and restart them. I feel as though I made Cador a bit overpowered with all the magic he has, so I’m going to examine what I’ve done, while also working out how I can do Jackie and Soren better.
Also, I’m not gonna name it Fable Force now. Don’t know what its name will be, but isn’t that anymore.
Earth-636/Sinister Saviours
If you’ve seen the bio for my original DC hero, you would’ve seen he has two origins: one in a more mature DC universe, where he was given the Blue Lantern Ring after the Reign of the Supermen, and one in the universe of DC Super Hero Girls, where he will lead a group of teen heroes out of the Sinister Slums. I’ve decided to primarily focus on the latter as I feel some of the other characters I had in mind would fit more into this story. The story will also be called ‘The Blue Light of Hope.’
The Following Fics I’ve decided to cancel out of disinterest
- Digimon Warriors: A Digimon fic where eight kids were sent to the Digital World, each one representing one of the eight Digimon Families.
- Everyday Life as a Wizard: A Monster Musume fic where a wizard has decided to come out of hiding to act as a host for monster girls, while teaching modern forms of magic to other spellcasters.
- Man of Many Monsters: A Monster High fic where a human student of the eponymous school becomes a superhero, Ben 10 style.
- Might of the Wolf: A Sonic the Hedgehog fic where a wolf allows himself to become robotisized to make a better world for his daughter.
- Pokémon: Fighting Spirit: A Pokémon anime fic where the son of Ash and Lillie goes out to be a trainer that specialises in Fighting-Types.
Like with The New Olympians, I might come back to them if I want to but, if someone else is interested in these premises, then they can use them if they want.
Other Items
Seeing as how the most stuff I put on DeviantArt are requests for Death Battle, that’s mostly what some of you remember me for. Rest assured I’ll still be looking for good ideas on fights and I do accept requests (especially if you give me connections for the combatants), but there are two rules I’m going to give myself:
I’m only going to do matchups if both combatants are from something I know, whether it’s a film or show I’ve seen, a comic or book I’ve read, a game I’ve played, etc. I don’t know how many requests I’ve done where I no nothing about the fighters, but there are some in there.
I’m not going repeat any characters until I get a full gallery of 50. For example, I have a good idea for a matchup featuring Luz from the Owl House, but I’m not going to do it till I get over 450 since I still have the one where she goes against Anne from Amphibia.
Also, the gallery of Pokémon Crossover teams; the least touched of my content but one I enjoy nonetheless, I’m going to wait until all the mons in Generation IX are announced before I make more teams. Might even redo some teams if there are any Pokémon that fit the characters.

RWBY Volume 7 Predicitons
So, just watched Weiss vs Mitsuru on Death Battle. I’m not gonna spoil it for anyone who hasn’t seen it yet but, considering these two share an elemental power, I kinda expected someone to shatter like glass at the end.
Anyway, after that I decided to do something many fans of RWBY usually do: predict what’s to come in a future volume. With three– maybe four– different parties making their way to the Kingdom of Atlas, there’s gonna be a few things going down in the frozen north of Remnant. This list will discuss what I think will most likely happen during their stay. Should they stick around for more than one volume, any prediction that doesn’t come true will be moved to a prediction list for Volume 8.
· More about Atlas
While World of Remnant gave us the history of Atlas & how it started as Mantle, it would be nice to hear more about this kingdom, specifically how they’re coping after the Fall of Beacon. While we hear a few people at the benefit concert not exactly caring for them, keep in mind that there were people of Atlas present during the Fall. They might have a few things to say, being part of the minority that as far as we know only Weiss & Ironwood are a part of.
· The Winter Maiden
The main priority of the heroes’ mission is to grab the relics before Salem’s forces do. To do that, they will have to know who the maiden is and where she stands in this conflict. Will she aid the heroes, the villains or do her best to stay out of the conflict? Due to Solitas being an Icy continent, we’ll most likely be introduced to the Winter Maiden but, if it’s going to be Weiss’ sister simply because her name is Winter, I’m sure the fandom will have a few choice words. Speaking of which…
· Reunion with Ironwood & Winter
Haven’t seen much of Big Sis Winter or her boss. Might wanna check up on them. Considering General Ironwood is a part of Ozpin’s inner circle, he may wanna know about what they learnt from Jinn. Just keep Oscar away from him; poor kid’s been abused enough as it is. As for Winter, she’ll happy to see her sister alive & well and she can properly meet her teammates & friends.
· Blake & Yang getting to grips with murder
Just so we get this out of the way, I’ll only consider Bumblebee to be canon either by the show’s creators confirming (Korrasami style) or if Blake and Yang confirming it. Still hoping for BlackSun when they make it to Vacuo anyway. That being said, one subplot I would like to see would be them getting to grips with the fact that they had to kill Adam. While it was out of self-defense, they still had to take a life. Perhaps they let the rest of the group in on this, get support from them, particularly from those who may have done the same: Maria killed Tock after being blinded, James & Winter are part of the military, so they may have killed people and Qrow probably has taken some lives during his time with the Branwen Tribe or when doing Ozpin’s dirty work.
· Confronting Jacques & Whitley (DOWN WITH THE FALSE SCHNEE!!!)
Here’s something that everyone can agree on: Weiss meeting up with her father & brother. Being able to perform a full summoning and sneaking out of her house already gave her a confidence boost; all she has to do now is confront the men who are ruining the Schnee name. Maybe get her friends & Winter backing her up while she starts chewing these bastards out. Of course, they’re not the only Schnee who needs a good talking to.
· Introducing Mrs. Schnee
Weiss’ mother – who the fandom has been referring to as Willow Schnee – was mentioned as an alcoholic ever since Jacques said he married her for her name. That has to stop should she be introduced. Maybe she can meet with Qrow who seems to be giving up the bottle at the end of Volume 6. Either way, she needs to be the mother that Weiss & Winter deserves.
· Meeting Watts
Arthur Watts is the last of Salem’s acolytes the heroes have yet to meet, and he’s one his way to Atlas along with Tyrian. As of right now, he don’t know how he is in battle, or if he even fights directly in the first place. With him helping Cinder speak after the Fall and giving Tyrian a new stinger, he may simply be a doctor/mechanic. Of course, he may also have a silver tongue, and could manipulate people into doing his dirty work.
· Treatment of Faunus
Due to the actions of the White Fang during the Fall of Beacon, the Faunus most likely have had a rougher time than ever before. In Solitas, many have immigrated from the poorer city of Mantle to Atlas for a better life, although not in the way they hoped. There may be a possibility that due to her Faunus heritage, Blake may have some trouble from racists unless accompanied by her friends. We could also see how certain Faunus are in Atlas Academy & other schools.
· FNKI
One of the only good things to come out of Atlas Academy is definitely Team FNKI. While we’ve only met Flynt Coal & Neon Katt, it would be nice to see the other two members. Speaking of Neon, how does she cope in the Academy? We know how Faunus are treated most of the time and many people believe that her positive nature may be a coping mechanism for any bullying she’s had. However, FNKI aren’t they only Atlesian students we know about.
· Penny
Out of all its technology, Penny Polendina is the one bit of the Atlas military I’ve been fascinated about, with so many questions. How can a synthetic being be capable of producing Aura, a feat that requires a soul? Did they make synthetic Aura, or somehow procure a soul to put into her? If so, could she be rebuilt? Would she have her memories? How does Ciel & the rest of her team feel about one of their team members being a machine? Who exactly is the Geppetto to her Pinocchio? So many questions, so little episodes per volume.
· CRDL
This is a minor prediction & one I don’t think I would come to fruition: Team CRDL. When Beacon Academy fell, many of their students transferred to other Academies, with Team CFVY going to Shade Academy in Vacuo. Not sure why, but I think Team CRDL enrolled into Atlas Academy. Maybe the prejudice against Faunus. Definitely the prejudice against Faunus. Of course, them going to Atlas Academy does have a share of problems. If there were people during the benefit concert who would badmouth Vale, who’s to say there wouldn’t be students who would gang up on the former bullies because of it? I doubt that this would actually happen but if they did, it would be karma giving this quartet the bitch slap they deserve.
· Nora
It is said that Volume 7 will also focus on Nora, most likely meaning will be learning where she came from before meeting Ren at Kuroyuri. Like most people, I came to the same conclusion when I heard about this: due to how disheveled she was, she may be from the poverty stricken city of Mantle. Granted, this also begs the question how she made to from Solitas to Anima & that gives me two ideas. Either 1: she stowed away on a transport or 2: her family went to Anima for a trip and got killed. This is all I have so far.
